Special Bus Service For World Superbike Championship In Sepang #RapidKL

Rapid Bus Sdn Bhd – operator of Rapid KL bus services, will be providing a direct service from major locations in the city to Sepang International Circuit (SIC) to provide a hassle-free journey for this weekend’s eni FIM World Superbike Championship Malaysia Round. To operate from 8am from Friday (July 31) until Sunday (August 2), the direct bus service will be from KLCC and KL Sentral to the circuit as well as from KLIA2, said Encik Mohd Azam Omar, who is the Chief Operating Officer of Rapid KL bus services.

Bus tickets are already on sale at KL Sentral, KLCC and Masjid Jamek LRT stations; priced at RM18 for one-way trip from the city and RM30 for a return ticket. For journeys between KLIA2 and the circuit, the fare is RM10 one-way.
“The service is similar with what we had provided during the Formula 1 in March and the Malaysian Motorcycle Grand Prix last October. The bus tickets will be on sale at KLIA2 and at SIC during event days.

SIC hosts Round 10 of the 13-leg eni FIM World Superbike Championship which features the World Superbike Championship and the World Supersport Championship. The Sepang race will also feature the Shell Advance Asia Talent Cup, the Malaysia Superbike Championship, as well as a host of exciting off-track events including a bike wheelie challenge and a stunt show.

“The bus service will be operating on a frequency of between 30 and 45 minutes depending on traffic condition,” Encik Mohd Azam said, adding that the last bus would depart for SIC from the city and KLIA2 at 12 noon for all three days.

The buses would return to Kuala Lumpur and KLIA from 4pm with the last bus departing from SIC at 8pm for all three days.
