I don't know if most of you had notice but today the country was shocked to know that the RAKYAT'S MONEY is being used by the Selangor State Government to pay off its cybertroopers and bloggers. The amount paid varies from each blogger but the highest is RM3,000, a large sum considering that the minimum wage of workers in this country is about RM900 (plus/minus).
This case is unprecedented anywhere before, and I am totally surprise that Pakatan Rakyat, a coalition of parties that portray itself to represent the people can do such a thing. Don't they know that misusing public funds to pay for party politics is unethical? I am more surprised that news outlet such as The Malaysian Insider and Malaysiakini choose to keep mum on this issue. One would ask how could they keep quiet when there is a blatant misuse of public funds on such an unprecedented scale is happening?
Where have the so called moral obligation that this 'independent' journalists hold onto?
I can only conclude that both this portal will never condemn the Selangor government for their abuse as both portals are puppet of the regime in Selangor.
